## The brief on file

staging-app.tactile-connect.com has NO DNS record. A wrangler `route` binding does not create one, so apps/web-mobile's staging worker deploys successfully into the void.

RE-VERIFIED 2026-08-16 (launch round 10, web session), read-only:

THE BLOCKER IS SHARPER THAN "NEEDS DNS" — MEASURED 2026-08-16 WITH THE STORED
CREDENTIAL, so nobody has to rediscover it:

    GET /user/tokens/verify                     → success: true, status: active
    GET /zones                                  → success: true (5 zones listed;
                                                  tactile-connect.com is present
                                                  and active, id prefix 0496d5ad)
    GET /zones/<id>/dns_records                 → success: FALSE,
                                                  code 10000 "Authentication error"

So the token is scoped for Workers deploys and NOT for DNS. It can list zones and
it cannot read or write records. An agent with this credential cannot create the
record no matter how the request is shaped — this is a permissions scope, not a
sign-in problem, and it is why "just give the session credentials" does not clear
this task.

TO FIX, one of (both are Matthew's, both are one step):
  (a) add Zone.DNS:Edit for tactile-connect.com to that Cloudflare API token,
      after which `deploy.sh web-mobile staging` becomes verifiable by a session; or
  (b) add the record by hand in the Cloudflare dashboard.

WHAT THE RECORD SHOULD BE was NOT determined. I could not read the existing
app.tactile-connect.com record to mirror it (same scope wall), so the shape —
proxied A/AAAA placeholder vs CNAME, and its target — is still an open decision
rather than something to copy. Do not let a session invent it.

STILL TRUE: deploy.sh refuses `web-mobile staging` with NO_PROBE_REASON before
touching credentials (PR #266 moved the check to step 0 and made an empty probe
URL fatal), so nothing deploys into the void silently any more.
