## The brief on file

STILL OPEN after PR #295 — deliberately not closed. That PR guarded two width caps (Settings frame, Assets list body) out of 33 call sites; this row is not one of them.

Reusable harness now exists: ContentWidthBoundsTest (app/src/test/java/com/tactile/app/ui/theme/) with assertCapped / assertCentred / assertSurfaceIsFullBleed, at @Config(qualifiers="w1280dp-h800dp") — confirmed to propagate to both createComposeRule and createAndroidComposeRule.

Known blind spot to design around: bounds assertions cannot detect a page background painted INSIDE the cap (no-op shape 3 in ContentWidth's kdoc). Verified empirically — that mutation leaves the suite green — and pixel capture is unavailable (captureToImage() under Robolectric 4.13 + GraphicsMode.NATIVE times out). Catching that shape needs an instrumented or screenshot test.
