## The brief on file

Viv — give up gracefully when a customer's domain never verifies. Done when: after roughly two hours of polling without the domain going active, the UI stops spinning and shows actionable guidance — which DNS record is missing or wrong, and how to retry — rather than polling forever. WHY: DNS propagation genuinely can take hours, and the common real cause is that the customer entered the record wrong at their registrar. Today an indefinite spinner means they cannot tell the difference between "still propagating" and "you made a typo," which turns a self-serve setup into a support ticket. This is a Pro-tier feature, so the people hitting it are paying customers. Files: apps/api/tactile-api/src/utils/customDomainHealth.ts, plus the Custom Domain settings screens on iOS (Features/Settings/Pages/CustomDomain/) and web
