Only THREE of 14 destination types actually persist an edit today — website, notes, document. Menu opens a real editor whose save is a no-op stub, so it dismisses as though it worked and silently discards the change. The remaining 10 show "Editing coming soon." Cost split matters here: gallery, video, audio and contact editors ALREADY EXIST and only need a router case wired, while payment, link hub, form, wifi, bluetooth and action must be built from scratch. Six of them also need a backend update endpoint that does not exist yet.

## The brief on file

DONE 2026-07-28 (Viv) — PR #163, commit ff228581, branch feature/destination-editors.

Built WifiDestinationEdit + WifiActionContent, added the .wifi payload case and loadContent
branch, wired the router case. CLEAN xcodebuild into fresh derived data: ** BUILD SUCCEEDED **.

THE DATA-LOSS TRAP AND HOW IT IS HANDLED — this is the part worth reviewing.
wifi.ts:213 does `payload.password.trim() === "" ? null : payload.password`, so a
present-but-blank password NULLS the stored credential. A naive editor that always sends the
field would blank a working network password on any save.

The password edit is therefore three-state (keep / replace / clear), and WifiUpdateRequest's
encode(to:) is hand-written so .keep OMITS the key entirely rather than trusting a synthesised
encoder. An empty field resolves to .clear ONLY when the API positively returned a value, and
even then it takes a destructive-role confirmation alert. When the API returned nothing, an
empty field resolves to .keep — so a credential the app could not see can never be nulled.
Blank-vs-value is tested on the TRIMMED string to match the route's own rule, but the
UNTRIMMED value is sent, because a WPA passphrase may legitimately begin or end with a space.
Independently verified: saving without touching the password field cannot blank it.

ONE ASYMMETRY LEFT ALONE, flagged for a reviewer: switching security to Open nulls the stored
password server-side (wifi.ts:211) with NO confirmation, unlike the empty-field path which
requires one. Arguably correct — an open network has no password — but flipping one picker
does the same damage silently and cannot be undone from the app. Pre-existing route
behaviour, not introduced here.

The GET endpoint returns the plaintext password, which is required for prefill and is the
account owner's own credential. It uses a SecureField with an explicit reveal toggle, and is
never logged and never emitted to analytics.

An unrecognised stored security value is preserved verbatim and surfaced as an error rather
than silently rewritten to WPA2 — the app will not quietly change a network's security type.

NOT SENT, deliberately: name, note and visibility, so a title or description set elsewhere
cannot be clobbered by an editor that does not surface them.
