## The brief on file

Viv — make the Analytics experience for free accounts an intentional upgrade wall, not a wall of errors. Done when: a free account never sees a raw 403 or broken widget anywhere in Analytics — Deep Dive (the default tab), Compare, Map and Overview all show the upgrade prompt, matching how Real-time, Goals and Dashboards already behave. CONTEXT from Matthew: free users get no analytics at all, by design — it isn't tracked in the database either, so as not to spend money on free accounts. Today the backend correctly refuses every analytics endpoint below Plus tier (see utils/tier.ts), but iOS only gates 3 of 7 tabs, so a free user opening Analytics lands on the default tab and sees error cards. Files: apps/ios/TacTileConnect/Features/Analytics/Pages/ (see AnalyticsProGate usage on the three gated tabs). NO-IAP NOTE (Matthew, 2026-07-26): the upgrade prompt shown here must be INFORMATIONAL ONLY — it can say "Upgrade to Plus/Pro" and explain the benefit, but it must NOT contain a tappable link or button that leads to Stripe checkout or any purchase flow. TacTile does no in-app purchases (see t_77aa0eba) — Apple/Google can reject apps that link out to a purchase flow from inside the app. If you want a CTA, it should say something like "Manage your plan on the web" without being a checkout link, or simply have no outbound action at all. Cross-reference "Audit both apps for purchase links and upgrade CTAs."
